Who should we love as Christians?

This world is a mess. Christians and non-Christians alike do pretty much what they want and the differences between the two are becoming smaller. And yet a remnant still survives that genuinely wants to do what's right and yet in an effort to take a stand have turned away the very people they need to reach the most. What do I mean? Sinners. In the biblical sense, this usually met people who lived immoral lifestyles and committed sexual sins. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery 'go and sin no more. He was not and never will condone something that he has previously called sin. But he talked with her. Now the unbeliever will be quick to point out Jesus said He didn't condemn her. This is true however this is because God being God knew everything and knew she had repented. He is also a forgiving God and will not hold our repented of sins against us.

Jesus also talked with the Samaritan woman. The lesson here is two-fold. Firstly Jesus knew she was immoral. a fornicator and an adulterer and yet he reached out to her. He clearly showed love because He wanted her to know the true God and pointed to towards the Father. Second, she was a Samaritan. These were considered half-breed Jews and even worse were shunned by the Jews, hated and considered filth. Let's take this into modern days. Would you go on an outreach and overlook a man dressed in a skirt or decide you're not going to waste your time with the woman who is showing more skin than clothes or wearing a LGBT or gay pride shirt?

Here's the problem. Pride. Or even more fundamentally violating the greatest commandment. We pride ourselves on our high standards instead of doing them for the glory of God. We think we are more special than we are because we are fundamentalists an we are right. No. No you're not. Pride is one of the seven deadly sins. One of the sins called an abomination. Literally meaning a disgusting thing. You turn your nose up at a sinner, you're automatically thinking you're better than them. Let's take a look at Isaiah 64:6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. That phrase filthy rags literally means soiled menstrual clothes. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself. I've fallen so many times, I've lost count of the number of times I've behaved in ways that disgusted God. I have not been and still am not a model Christian. It is a daily struggle to crucify the flesh. Becoming comfortable in sin is so easy. We've all done it because we are sinners.

To recap who should we love? John 3;16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  Why else should we do this? John 14:15. (Jesus said) If you love Me, keep my commandments. Therefore we must and we will love all just as He did.
